School Admissions Procedure:
Applications must be done online.
Please print your online application.
Keep 2 copies of your online application.
a. One copy for yourself for future reference.
b. One copy to be submitted with your application at the school after you have applied online.
Once you have applied online please bring your printed online application, and all supporting documents to the school and complete the Altena PS 2027 Application form. (Altena PS 2027 Application form is available on the website or at the school's reception)
The school will issue a receipt with a unique reference number to you. Please keep this receipt as proof that you submitted your admission application to Altena PS.
Online Application:
Ensure you indicate the correct grade.
Indicate the correct mother tongue.
Please indicate the previous school/creche your child has attended.
NB!! If your child has a sibling at Altena PS, please indicate it on the online application. (Please note: cousins and extended family members are not siblings)
Supporting documents: Certified copies of all documents are required.
The last official school Report Card | Results of the learner, for learners who have been to school.
ID | Birth certificate | passport of the learner; OR
A study permit (foreign learners); OR
Proof of application (study permit) or a police affidavit
Immunization card (Road to Health Chart)
Proof of residence
Colour ID Photo of learner
Applications will not be accepted with incomplete documents.
The WCED will inform you of the outcome of your application via SMS or email from 28 May 2026.
Parents must confirm their school choice on the WCED admissions site between 28 May and 15 June 2026.
Important: PLEASE register in time before the closing date on 14 April 2026. Please note that applying online does not confirm that your child has a place at the school.
